Whirlwind
04:36
|
|||
I build castles made of sand
Fury of waves destroy it still
Wedged in the cracks of your demise
I shall hold you still
When you claw and chew through me
My life stops into a standstill
The shards that drive through my soul
Crushes my essence into pieces
A waltzing, dancing whirlwind of destruction
Barrels of pins and needles
Rolled downhill into the abyss
It’s all pointless

Geworfenheit
03:18
|
|||
I am thrown into this world
All I have; a pocket full of questions
A life of scraps fed to the wolves
Eaten, regurgitated, everything in shambles
This gaping wound, patched by machines
Each slice of thought, life aberrant
The sins of flesh, sins of flesh
Sins of flesh
In a state, abandoned, life withers away
Of these earthly riches, an ounce you won’t take
As we curl entirely in this mortal coil

Pilgrim
03:22
|
|||
Living the life of a mayfly
Fleeting existence, time bleeds dry
The cattle cars are filled with the passengers of paper
The cog turns and turns and dulls each gear
A cry of sustenance demands to be heard
The cycle of pilgrimage wears the soul into slivers
Death is the only constant

Empire of Speed
02:04
|
|||
The world contracts and my vision fades
This mass gets smaller as I zoom through space
Let's swim into the ether and we'll fall, we'll fall upwards
Life gets tangled into a set of traps; pulling forwards yet it reels away
Let's swim into the ether and we'll fall, we'll fall upwards
As I fall into cerulean skies, all features turn to lines
It strides across the vast expanse, yet it placed me in a cage
Oh it turns, it turns and turns, yet I'm being set in place

Leper God
04:54
|
|||
I clasped my hands in prayer and knelt upon your name
Wishing for a life unchained; in this world of thorns
But here I am, my soul indebted and bound to your throes, to your throes
O leper god, consume me whole, consume me whole
This want rattles and grinds my bones into dust, all turn into dust
No magic nor sorcery can quench this thirst, again and again and again
Each sip from the earthen chalice brings me closer to you
The shackles have brought me into my heels
And I beg to be washed off of this malice
Your arms filled with festering sores, they console
Oh, they comfort!

Tin Drum
03:29
|
|||
A feast for the goblins; antediluvian desires
Back to my instincts; a primeval ride
Abrupt, relentless, but totally fruitless
Slanted but straight by pharmakon I used to trace
I carved a space for living, maintained by lowly flotsam
This beating drum gets pummeled around
The sunken cost of life itself knocks and pounds beyond closed doors
Like raindrops on a windowsill, slowly dripping through the razor's edge
Across the path less travelled, but I tripped along the way
Far from all the snakes, one ear has heard it all
These Prussian skies turn yellow, an iron curtain fell at dusk
Crawling on a swaying bridge, a leaden pill shall set me free

Wormwood
04:56
|
|||
It was a time were all was lost asunder
This place was crumbling underneath a pale moon
With all these trumpets been blowing, it shrieks across this barren land
A great star was falling; a sullen trip on Charon's boat
Oh wormwood, with your fist full of hatred and graphite lies
Oh wormwood, with the bitter waters flowing upon your head
Life turned into dust, the seas reduced to ashen plains
This circle gets louder and smaller, and babel's tower starts to sway
Each sip from the poisonous cup; the world revolves into our ends
The zenith of man slowly heads into a bend

Jilted Son
03:30
|
|||
A mass of dregs, king of flies
Seeking this nectar, fame ratified
An empty shell, filled with worms
All hail the baron, a bag of bones
Scorn-filled, brazen
Pilfered son
A dab of blather
Piss reflection
Behind this wall, this fragile man
Bravado made-up, a jilted son
Hateful, hot air, spewing drivel
Worthless, paltry, no congregation

Turin Horse
04:29
|
|||
With summer long gone, the days of glee are over
Crawling back to god; I close my eyes and I see still
I'm no Midas, I'm no Caesar, yet the steed has
been abused
Deny these crosses, let the world turn to ashes
Leave the kings to be amused
As I embrace the Turin Horse
My soul feels so lost
Heading way to its few final moments
As nature ran its cruel course
My mind went aloft
Led astray with a badly broken compass
Dancing through the shattered glass of broken reflection
Getting lost and found through the details of nothing
Walking on a trail of tears on my way to enlightenment
Too far to be saved; consumed by odd unreason

Strangeways
04:56
|
|||
Cheering silently
as I fell backwards
Leaving broken nails and teeth
A ferrous memory
This abattoir was packed with guests
Yet souls abandoned
Hanging on a pillory --- and whistling blankness
Flailing blindly in this shell
And I lost my lame defense;
Redemption seems so far away
